FAMOUS ART RECREATIONS-Student Artwork
The students clearly enjoyed this assignment and I have to say it was super fun opening my email everyday to see the student's take on well-known works of art. I'm not sure I would get the same results in a non-remote learning art class. It sure was a homerun during quarantine. These recreations are by 7th and 8th graders.
If I didn't put someone's up that wants theirs up, let me know and I will add it!

MY HAND-a time capsule of what is important to me now
The current 5th and 6th grade art assignment is to create an artwork with words and pictures of things that are important to them in their lives right now. I will include the directions and then post some awesome examples I have received so far.
First-trace your hand. Have someone else help if you need it.
Next-fill it with words and pictures of things that are important to you right now. If all you have at home to make art is a pencil or pen, then do some shading and complete the background. Or you could cut it out and find something fun to put your hand on to take a picture to finish it up.
If you have crayons, colored pencils or paint, add some color to your hand! I used markers, colored pencils, and a little bit of white-out pen. I decided to draw my background in for this one. I tried to draw the wood floor in my house.
I left one black and white to show what that looks like too.
Here are some finished student examples:
Love this grassy background which further enforces this student's love of the outdoors!
This student used a large photograph for the background of his hand! Super fun!
This student loves pizza so much he made sure everyone would know it, and the round background is awesome!

Draw a Portrait
One of the options from the 14 Days of Art Activities was to draw a portrait of a pet or stuffed animal. Some students wanted to draw a person!
